How to Make a Faith-led Vision Board

We all have big dreams and lists of things we want to accomplish in this lifetime. But how do we know they are the goals, dreams and direction that God wants us to go in?

It’s easy to get wrapped up in what we see God doing in the lives of others, if we’re not careful, we’ll start adopting other’s dreams as our own. But the path, direction and blessings God has for you are for you alone.

That’s why going to God before putting a photography or word on your vision board is so important. Without God, the items on your board are just your ideas—not God’s vision.

God has to, and wan’t you, include Him from the start. Here are three steps to create a faith-filled and God-led vision board the the days ahead:

  1. PRAY: Girl. Don’t you throw a photo on that board haphazardly. Spend time in prayer FIRST. Ask God what he wants for you in this next year and wait for the answer. If you don’t hear anything, don’t put anything up there. Wait until he gives you direction. You may end up with one focus for next year. It doesn’t matter, what matters is that you’re led by the Holy Spirit and not by self

  2. BACK IT UP WITH SCRIPTURES: Attach scriptures to each item on your board. Why? Because there will be times when the vision seems so far away, most may feel unattainable. Use the scriptures to encourage and remind yourself of what you’re working toward and that you’re not doing it alone.

  3. SOW INTO YOUR VISION: Identify ways you can sow into each of the visions on your board. You reap what you sow, right? So make sure you’re planting the right seeds and position yourself for the vision you’re preparing to harvest.

BONUS - WRITE A VISION STATEMENT: Write a vision statement for how you’ll move through the next year. This is just another way to speak over and ground yourself for the next 365 days.

Now go ’head with your faith-based-purpose-led-vision-board making self! 🙌🏽🙌🏻
